ICC Conflict Coaching

Conflict coaching is a great help when you are wrestling with problem that doesn’t easily resolve. We often need someone to listen to our story and mentor us in biblically faithful ways to better understand and navigate the issues. In this way, a conflict coach walks you through frustrating relational disputes to find solutions. Certified Conflict Coaches™ are ready to assist you!

What is Conflict Coaching?

A conflict coach guides a person to apply the Bible’s teachings in responding to his or her conflict. The conflict coach comforts the party in reminding him or her that real peace is found in Christ, not in how others respond.
For instance, if there is a problem getting along with a family member, colleague, employer, church acquaintance, or someone from the community, a conflict coach can help you better understand the underlying issues and create a peacemaking plan. A conflict coach is not a therapist or a legal advisor, but an encourager who can be trusted to hear your story, pray with you, and help prepare you to respond to your conflict in a biblically faithful manner. With God’s help, your actions will lead towards resolving the material issues and restoring the relationship.

How does Conflict Coaching work?

A conflict coach is a Certified Christian Conciliator™  who will schedule a series of appointments with you by phone or video conference. Together, you’ll explore solutions and seek God’s wisdom for steps of positive change.

What are the Benefits of Conflict Coaching?

Conflict coaching is a safe and confidential conversation without judgment or shame.  It is a private opportunity with a positive purpose to help resolve conflict in a way that honors God.  You’ll learn essential and relevant biblical peacemaking skills from your conflict coach.  Together you’ll explore the nature of conflict and the promises in the Bible that lead to practical solutions.  Conflict coaching is available to give you counsel, help you gain perspective, and give you hope.

What is the essential hope that Conflict Coaching can provide?

We know that conflict is toxic; it diminishes hope and breaks trust in relationships. So how can we find hope and healing even in the worst conflicts?  Biblical peacemaking helps direct us back to the source of our hope and comfort, the blessings that come from the promises given by Jesus Christ:

“I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”  John 16:33
